The idea

Find posting windows worth testing using a community’s historical activity and post outcomes. Explore a subreddit in your timezone, compare its busy hours, and follow a recommendation back to the evidence behind it.

How it works

The dashboard compares posts, comments and distinct participants through heatmaps and trends. Post-performance views show median scores, comment counts, sample sizes and uncertainty estimates for different submission windows.

Analysis runs in a browser worker, with local caching so you can return to saved results. A separate Python and SQLite pipeline supports reproducible offline research. The dashboard starts with an aggregate summary; archive downloads begin when you change an analysis or request an update.

Context & attribution

An independent analytics project using historical Reddit records from Arctic Shift. Not affiliated with Reddit. Activity counts describe posts, comments and participants, not people online.

Posting-time associations do not prove that timing caused better results. The dashboard makes sample sizes, archive coverage and uncertainty visible so its recommendations can be treated as experiments to test.
